Loss of two genes drives a deadly form of colorectal cancer, reveals a potential treatment

(Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute) Scientists from Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute (SBP), in collaboration with clinicians from Scripps Clinic, have identified that the loss of two genes drives the formation of serrated colorectal cancer--yielding potential biomarkers. The research has also identified a combination treatment that has treated the cancer in mice. The study published today in Immunity.
