Shuttered nursing facility set to reopen near planned VA hospital site

A Tennessee-based senior living company is close to reopening a shuttered facility near the new VA hospital site. The facility, called Dominion Senior Living at Northfield, is set to open by Dec. 26. The 42,000-square-foot, one-story facility has been completely renovated to offer 41 assisted-living beds and 20 single-occupancy memory-care apartments, according to wellness director Ali Helton.
