Woman killed by a rare brain-eating amoeba she got from using a neti pot to treat a sinus infection

A Seattle woman, 69, used Brita filtered water in a neti pot to treat her sinus infection, but a rare amoeba in the non-sterile water reached her brain, turning spots of it to mush and killing her a year later.
