Paired Editorial: Five-year changes in dietary intake and body composition in adolescents with severe obesity undergoing Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Surgery

Metabolic Bariatric Surgery (MBS) is an effective weight loss treatment for severe obesity in adolescents, but weight loss and weight loss maintenance is highly variable. Because dietary intake plays a substantial role in weight loss and weight loss maintenance, there is value in examining associations between health outcomes and dietary intake pre- and post-MBS.
