Altered expression of survivin and its splice variants ∆Ex3 and 2B contributes to disease development in breast cancer

ConclusionOur data demonstrates that differential expression of survivin splice variants is a key feature of breast cancer. Apart from survivin, targeting survivin splice variants can also be an important diagnostic and therapeutic target in cancer. Our findings may provide novel avenues for development of both diagnostics and biotheraepeutics in cancer.
