Expert opinion: regional nerve blocks in everyday pediatric urology: 2. Ultrasound-guided regional anesthetic caudal block
Ultrasonography is rapidly becoming the gold standard in regional anesthesia. Caudal blocks, when performed with ultrasound guidance, allow for greater safety and improved block efficacy. Medical education continues to evolve with advances in technology. CEVL in the medical field provides an enhanced, realistic visualization of procedures and authentic context for learning and assessment, leading to a safer and more controlled environment that decreases risks to patients. The CEV-ule shown for caudal block provides trainees with a standardized, systematic approach to performing the b lock.
