ConclusionsLI limited to the mucosal region does not seem to be a strong indicator for LNM. When pathological findings of an endoscopic submucosal dissection specimen show only mLI as a non-curative criterion, the probability of LNM may be very low.
We present a rare case of intussusception of efferent jejunum through gastrojejunostomy in a patient who underwent distal gastrectomy with Billroth II reconstruction. Revision total gastrectomy was performed successfully. High index of suspicion and early diagnosis is crucial as delayed intervention can lead to a mortality rate of 50%.
ConclusionsAltered global longitudinal strain values were common in young obese patients. Sleeve gastrectomy increased global longitudinal strain even in the early postoperative phase without promoting changes in global radial strain, global circumferential strain, and left ventricle twist measurements.
(Reuters Health) - People with obesity may initially shed more excess pounds with an older operation known as Roux-en-Y gastric bypass than with a newer sleeve gastrectomy procedure, but a research review suggests that longer-term, which one is better for weight loss remains unknown.
ConclusionsPatients with intramucosal, nonulcerated, undifferentiated adenocarcinoma measuring 20 mm or less could develop a lymphatic network. For these patients, careful follow-up is required after ER.

ConclusionsEarly feeding and discharge for total or proximal gastrectomy is feasible and safe as long as it is carefully applied to high-risk patients, but we must be aware of the relatively higher readmission rate of this patient group.
