Prognostic Significance of Neuron-Specific Enolase in Patients with Malignant Lymphoma

Conclusion] In the present study we demonstrated that serum NSE levels were elevated in patients with various types of lymphoma. In particular, our data proved that a high serum NSE level is an independent prognostic factor for survival in patients with DLBCL. These results suggest that serum NSE levels at diagnosis may have an important role in malignant lymphoma and also may be a useful prognostic biomarker. Since our results are based on a small-sized analysis, further large prospective studies are warranted to verify this conclusion.DisclosuresNo relevant conflicts of interest to declare.
