Discriminating phenotypes of severe eosinophilic asthma using gene profiling in sputum

Conclusion: Patients with severe asthma can be grouped based on FeNO and eosinophil levels and the groups can be discriminated using PCR analyses of DNASE1L3 (HEHF), IL1B (HELF) and CLC (LELF).
