Th-17 cytokine profile in a Greek asthmatic population. Correlation with asthma severity and biomarkers of inflammation.

Conclusions: To our knowledge, this is the first study to investigate Th-17 cytokine profile in a Greek asthmatic population and one of the few studies to correlate serum levels with biomarkers of inflammation. The above findings suggest involvement of Th-17 pathway in eosinophilic and in allergic asthma.
