Childhood TB deaths in a Romanian County, 1998-2015; causes and significance
Conclusions: The decreasing number of TB deaths in childhood is concordant with the decline of other TB indicators; explanations of this trend are the significant decrease of HIV coinfection and the improvement in the management of TB cases;Annual registration of TB meningitis cases in childhood points out an ongoing TB epidemic;Pulmonologists from this county need to focus on TB in rural area in order to prevent severe forms of TB.
