Pulmonary artery diameter and nocturnal hypoxemia in smokers with/without COPD.
Conclusions: In smokers with or without COPD, PAD measured by CT scan is independently associated to the degree of nocturnal hypoxemia. The presence of a PAD greater than 30mm (suggestive of PHT) is explained by nocturnal hypoxemia and the degree of airflow limitation.
