Does adding the Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) questionnaire and Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) to routine outpatient activity provide more information on the presence of anxiety and depression in asthma?
Conclusions: Anxiety and depression are prevalent in our asthma patients. Adverse ACQ-6 and AQLQ scores are associated with the presence of anxiety and depression. This nullifies the need to burden patients with additional questionnaires to identify these conditions.
