Effect of preterm-birth on later bronchial hyper-responsiveness: a systematic review.
Conclusions: Preterm-born children have increased rates of BHR compared to term-born children. Rates of BHR after an exercise test were higher compared to rates after a methacholine challenge. The data suggest that subgroups of preterm born children might benefit from anti-inflammatory or bronchodilator therapies.
