Natalizumab exposure during pregnancy in multiple sclerosis: a systematic review

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a demyelinating disease of the central nervous system typically affecting young adults. The median onset age of MS is around 30  years which is the childbearing years for many women. Thus, pregnancy is a significant concern for many of them. Although studies suggested that pregnancy played a protective role for MS since disease activity was generally reduced during pregnancy [28]. For those with high disease activity, preg nancy is still a big challenge.
