Hospital gives nurses Wednesday deadline to call off strike
The Indiana Regional Medical Center gave its nurses union a deadline of noon Wednesday to call off a strike that is current planned for Monday.
IRMC said it would cost $1.5 million to contract with a nursing staffing agency to help operate the health system in the event of a strike. That's because five days of outside nurses from the agency are required due to the staffing agency, according to hospital officials.
