Emergency surgery for acute type A aortic dissection in octogenarians without patient selection.
CONCLUSIONS: Emergency surgery for type A aortic dissection in octogenarians without patient selection resulted in similar rates of mortality and morbidity to younger patients. Octogenarians should not be refused this life-saving emergent surgery.
