National estimations of airway foreign bodies in children in the United States, 2000 to 2009
ConclusionsOur findings confirm previous findings and identified that the diagnosis of airway foreign bodies in children were associated with male gender, age less than five years old, lack of private insurance, and geographic location in an urban setting. Further investigation may be warranted to provide clarity on other factors found to have increased association with mortality for quality improvement.This article is protected by copyright.
