Alcohol induced gastrointestinal symptoms in eosinophilic esophagitis

Eosinophilic esophagitis is a recognized cause of gastrointestinal symptoms including food impaction, dysphagia, and heartburn. In eosinophilic airway diseases, alcohol ingestion can trigger allergic symptoms, and many EoE patients are intolerant of alcohol.
