Among emerging circulating biomarkers, cell-free miRNA (cfmiRNA) may have potential in detecting lung cancer and following the course of the disease. Furthermore, several studies highlighted the p...

It includes personalized diagnostics, patients' sub-classification, individual treatment selection and the monitoring of its effectiveness. Currently, in oncology, PM is based on the molecular and cellular features of a tumor, its microenvironment and the patient's genetics and lif...

However, whether small interfering RNA (siRNA) mediated knockdown of α7nAChR can reduce sorafenib (SOR) resistance in HCC cells remains to be determined.Materials and methodsThe effects ...

Ferroptosis is characterized by iron-dependence and lipid hydroperoxides accumulation, and its primary mechanism involves the suppression of system Xc−-GSH (glutathione)-GPX4 (glutathione peroxidase 4) axis. Co-incidentally, cancer cells are also metab...

Herein, a novel multifunctional nanocomposite containing polydopamine (PDA)@cobalt phytate (CoPA) with lactose acid (LA) grafting were successfully synthesized. The PDA core was used as the template for t...

This report describes the case of a 20 years old man who was diagnosed with a mass involving the small intestine and bladder during the course of investigations for faecaluria and abdominal pain. Histopathological examination of the biopsies during cystoscopy revealed: muscle invasive transitional cell carcinoma, while the computerized tomography scan had confirmed the enterovesical fistula. The patient was traited by Radical cystectomy with extended pelvic lymph node dissection and ileocecal resection as ultimate curative treatment.

This study investigated the relationship between the regulation of SEMA4C on TGF-ß1-induced p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) activation and invasion and metastasis of cervical cancer. MATERIAL AND METHODS Hela-shSEMA4C cell line was established and the success of transfection was confirmed with fluorescence intensity. Cell experiments were divided into 2 groups. Group 1 was Hela, Hela-shNC, and Hela-shSEMA4C; and Group 2 was Hela, Hela-shNC, Hela-shSEMA4C, Hela+TGF-ß1, Hela-shNC+TGF-ß1, and Hela-shSEMA4C+TGF-ß1. Group 1 was detected for SEMA4C mRNA expression by real-time polymerase chain...
