Fracture Management In Osteopetrosis : An Intriguing Enigma A Guide For Surgeons.

We present a series of 4 Subtrochanteric fractures treated surgically in 3 patients of Osteopetrosis in a tertiary level Orthopaedic centre over the last 3 years with an aim to highlight our preparation and technique, especially as a guide to other surgeons, to minimize the complication rates and optimise the results. The patients had a mean Harris Hip Score of 85, at a mean follow up of 21.5 months ; the fractures united and all patients successfully returned to their normal activities of daily living.
