Serum biochemical reference values of Kyrgyz donkeys ( Equus asinus )

AbstractThe aim of the study was to determine the some serum biochemical values of Kyrgyz donkeys and present the reference values. Fifty (50) healthy donkeys in different ages (6 –24 months, 2–15 years, and>  15 years old) and gender (male and female) were clinically examined and blood samples were taken. Serum triglycerides (TG), creatine phosphokinase (CPK), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), gamma glutamyl transferase (GGT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), total bilirubin (TBil), total protein (TP), al bumin (Alb), creatinine (Creat), urea (Urea), amylase (Amy), lipase (Lip), calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), phosphorus (P), cholesterol (Chol), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), glucose (Glu), very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), high-density li poprotein (HDL), and indirect bilirubin (InBil) values were determined. In this study, we first analyzed the chemical compounds of AG by HPLC-DAD-ESI-IT-TOF-MS n . Of the 31 compounds detected, 29 were identified based on previous results. Then, the effects of DMY and AG on high-fat diet hamster livers were studied and the metabolite levels and metabolic pathway activity of the liver were explored by 1H NMR metabolomics. Compared to the high-fat diet group, supplementation of AG and DMY attenuated the high-fat-induced increase in body weight, liver lipid deposition, serum triglycerides and total cholesterol levels, and normalized endogenous metabolite concentrations.
