High risk of permanent stoma after anastomotic leakage in anterior resection for rectal cancer
ConclusionAL is highly associated with PS after AR, especially in patients>70 years. In this cohort of AL patients, 65% had PS at the long ‐term follow‐up. A defunctioning stoma ameliorates the clinical course but does not impact the end‐result of BC in established AL after AR.This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
