Group: EPA Should Follow Its Own Guidance And Reduce Glyphosate Tolerance Level

WASHINGTON, D.C. - A collection of advocacy groups concerned about the amount of glyphosate in food, led by the Environmental Working Group (EWG), on Sept. 27 filed a petition with the Environmental Protection Agency asking it to reduce the tolerance level of the chemical in oats and to "to require glyphosate-containing product labels to explicitly prohibit the use of glyphosate as a preharvest desiccant," in keeping with findings by one of the EPA's internal departments.
