Association between thyroid abnormalities and hypertension among hospitalized US patients: data from the National Inpatient Sample

Abnormalities of thyroid, namely hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism, are both associated with increased risk of hypertension. We utilized the National Inpatient Sample from the years 2012–2014 to explore the risk of thyroid disorders in relation to those without a thyroid diagnosis.
