Type 3 Hiatal hernia complicating a mediogastric stenosis after gastric banding: cure of hiatal hernia and revision to Roux en Y Gastric Bypass

We present the case of a 54-year-old woman with a residual BMI of 35.4 kg/m2 after failure of gastric banding. She complained of persistent Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) and dysphagia despite removal of the gastric band 3 years before.
