Changes in HOMA-IR Index After Bariatric Surgery: Comparison of SADS-p and MGB-OAGB
Background: Bariatric surgery plays a major role to ameliorate metabolic abnormalities of type 2 diabetes. The aim of study was to evaluate the early effects of “Single Anastomosis Duodenal Switch- proximal approach” (SADS-p) and “Mini Gastric Bypass” (MGB-OAGB) on the “homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance” (HOMA-IR) index levels in morbidly obese patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
