Will I Still Be Obese Following Sleeve Gastrectomy?
Background: Average weight loss statistics quoted to patients undergoing sleeve gastrectomy are around 60% of excess body weight. However, this average is not geared toward specific patient factors. Patients desire to know if they will be non-obese following the operation. The purpose of our investigation is to elucidate factors that can indicate the probability of a patient becoming non-obese following surgery; as well as to evaluate whether various factors played a role on amount of weight loss.
