Minimally invasive conversion of sleeve gastrectomy to Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass for Intractable Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease: Short Term Outcome
Background: Sleeve gastrectomy (SG) is considered definitive surgery for weight loss due to excellent short-term results. GERD has been reported to have a post-operative incidence between 3-50% and management remains controversial. This case series demonstrates our experience with intractable GERD management after SG with conversion of SG to Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB).
