American Indian/Alaska Native Early Head Start Expansion and Early Head Start-Child Care Partnership Grants

Offers funding to new and existing Early Head Start programs for American Indian/Alaska Native populations to promote school readiness for low-income children. Programs must leverage existing local resources to provide family-centered services designed to promote the development of the youngest children, to engage parents in their roles as primary caregivers and teachers of their children, help parents move toward self-sufficiency, and prepare children for the transition to school.
