Mental health, mentoring program receives $2.2M boost

Compeer Buffalo has received two grants totaling $2.175 million to boost its mentoring programs for youth with mental health disorders. The grants come from two separate federal agencies. A three-year grant for $375,000 from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs (OJP) will expand mental health first aid training to reach 2,250 people.
