UB researchers land $3.5M for kidney research
University at Buffalo researchers have begun a new study funded by a $3.5 million federal grant from the National Institutes of Aging.
The five-year grant will be led by Kathleen Tornatore, a professor in the UB department of pharmacy practice in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. The study will explore the effects of age, race and sex on immunosuppressive medication and immune responses of renal transplant patie nts.
