Two new steroidal glycosides from Anemarrhena asphodeloides rhizome, and their cytotoxic activity in vitro

Their structures have been confirmed through a variety of analytic approaches including 1D and 2D-NMR spectroscopic techniques as well as mass spectrometry data. Moreover, cytotoxic activity evaluation demonstrated that compound 2 exhibited micromole level cytotoxic effects against A549 and Hela cancer cells.Graphical abstract
