We want to thank Dr Gordon and Dr Brugger for their comments on our article “Autoresuscitation in accidental hypothermia”, recently published in The American Journal of Medicine.1 We appreciate their insight on the putative mechanisms leading to auto-resuscitation. As we have nothing to add regarding the latter point, some additional comments may be helpful to explain s ome issues regarding the temperature measurement they pointed out in their letter.
