Clinical significance of fibrotic, haemostatic and endotoxic changes in patients with liver cirrhosis.

CONCLUSIONS: A close relationship exists between the severity of cirrhosis and fibrotic changes, as well as haemostatic changes. Endotoxin may be an important contributing factor to the development of ascites in cirrhosis. Some correlation may exist between fibrosis, haemostatic and endotoxin.
