Nagabhushana, G NagarajuAbstractMultifunctional ZnO NPs were successfully prepared via green chemistry route using E.heterophylla leaves extract as fuel. The prepared product was well characterized using various analytical tools namely X-raydiffractometer (XRD), Diffused reflectance spectroscopy(DRS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Raman spectroscopy, Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy dispersive X-ray Analysis (EDAX) and Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) etc. The PXRD pattern showed hexagonal phase with wruzite structure. The optical energy band gap was showed in diffused reflectance spectra found to be in the range ῀3.15 eV. FT-IR results showed the presence of functional groups. The Raman studies showed the presence of phonon modes of vibrations. The Morphological features of the product exhibit hexagonal, conical and pyramidal like nature. The particles size was estimated using TEM and exhibit found to be in the range ˷40 nm. The product was further screened against gram positive and Gram negative bacterial strains such as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella aerogenes, and Pseudomonas desmolyticum. Furthermore, the cytotoxicity of ZnO NPs was evaluated against cancer cellines such lung (A549) and Hepatocarcinoma (HePG2) cell lines. Therefore, the study reveals states that...
