Pelvic orthosis effects on the kinematics of the posterior pelvis

Introduction: The sacroiliac joint (SIJ) is a well-known source of low back pain, with increasing interest for both conservative and surgical treatment. Alterations in the kinematics of the pelvis have been hypothesized to be a major cause of SIJ pain. Pelvic orthoses are one option for non-surgical treatment, but their effects on the pelvis are not well understood. The present study aimed at investigating pelvic orthosis effects in a cadaveric model.
