Thoracic Organ Doses and Cancer Risk from Low Pitch Helical 4-Dimensional Computed Tomography Scans.

Conclusions: As compared to 3DCT, 4DCT scans deliver more organ doses, especially for pediatric patients. Substantial increase in lung cancer risk is associated with higher radiation dose from 4DCT and smaller patients' size as well as younger age.
