White House opens small business insurance portal in Missouri, Illinois
An Affordable Care Act online health insurance exchange for small businesses, which was shelved last year due to technical difficulties, quietly went live over the weekend in five states, including Missouri and Illinois.
The Obama administration opened the new portal in Delaware, New Jersey and Ohio, in addition to Missouri and Illinois, the Wall Street Journal reports. The soft launch will test the exchange before it rolls out on Nov. 15 for most of the rest of the country.
