Right Ventricular Free Wall Strain Is Associated With Long-Term Renal Function in Heart Failure With Preserved Ejection Fraction

Renal impairment in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is associated with worse outcomes and higher mortality.1 The impact of abnormal right ventricular mechanics on mortality and heart failure (HF) –related hospitalizations has been described.2 However, there are limited data looking at the association between right ventricular cardiac mechanics and long-term renal function in HFpEF.
