Social care crisis: Councils receive 5,100 new requests for adult care EVERY DAY amid soaring demand

Figures from NHS Digital today revealed councils in England were swamped with 1.8 million requests for adult social care in 2017-18, and campaigners say the system is 'at breaking point'.
