EEG endophenotypes in autism spectrum disorder.

CONCLUSIONS: The presence of an abnormal EEG result or epilepsy in the setting of ASD suggests worse developmental and adaptive functioning. Further analysis will help to clarify associations and offer insight into treatment for this subpopulation without epilepsy but with abnormal EEG results.
