In this review, we provide an overview of recent advances and new trends in sensors for the detection of tetracycline antibiotics based on optical sensors, electrochemical sensors and other sensors including electrochemiluminescence and photoelectrochemical strategy. And we pay more attention to the practical applications of sensors for tetracycline antibiotics. Furthermore, a brief summary of the entire review, compare detection methods for different applications in the area of quantitative detection of tetracycline antibiotics, along with discussing the drawbacks of present sensors are concluded. Finally, the current challenges, ongoing efforts and future prospects in this field are also included to provide an overview for future research directions.
