Complex Incisional Hernias in Morbidly Obese Patients: Hernia Repair Outcomes with Weight Loss Surgery
Morbid obesity is a risk factor for development and recurrence of incisional hernias. Weight loss surgery can be performed concomitantly with hernia repair or as a staged approach, which is recommended in loss of domain hernias. We assessed feasibility and outcomes of either approach in patients with complex incisional hernias.
