ConclusionCette étude pilote a mis en évidence la faisabilité et l’efficacité du programme qui peut maintenant être déployé à plus grande échelle et testé sous la forme d’un essai randomisé contrôlé. Ce programme pourrait en effet intéresser les responsables des collectivités locales pour la mise en œuvre d’actions favorables à la santé auprès des publics défavorisés.SummaryAimTo evaluate through a pilot study the feasibility and the impact of a physical activity program for adolescents from low socio-economic background involving one of their parents.Materials and methodsForty participants participated in the 1 parent–1 teen program. It included two hours of PA two times per week for eleven weeks for each of the two groups (18 parents and 22 adolescents). The feasibility and effectiveness of the program were assessed. Anthropometric parameters and well-being were measured before and after the program. Moderate to vigorous physical activity was assessed by accelerometry before, during and after the program. ANOVAs with repeated measure were used to compare values.ResultsAll participants followed the eleven weeks of intervention. The average participation rate per session was 9.5 out of 18 parents and 12.5 out of 22 adolescents. The 60 minutes threshold of moderate and vigorous daily physical activity was reached for adolescents only during the program.
