Ideal admission electrocardiographic parameters in STEMI: What else do we need to learn?

We read with great interest the article entitled ‘Prognosis and first diagnostic ECG in STEMI patients referred to the emergency medical system for primary PCI’ by Meloni et al. [1]. We want to thank the authors for their investigation of the prognostic association between Q wave presence and in-hospital mortality in patients with all types of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).
