8.2 Collaborative Care for Adolescent Depression in Pediatric Mental Health Care

Given that adolescents with depression are more likely to present in pediatric care than in specialty mental health care, pediatrics clinics are ideal settings to implement a collaborative care model of mental health care. This session will describe a collaborative model that integrates screening, assessment, treatment, and service coordination in the pediatrics home in a public hospital as part of a unified system of care for adolescents with depression.
