Autoimmune Encephalopathy: Evaluation, Treatment, and Management

This presentation will focus on increasing provider awareness of the autoimmune encephalopathies (AEs) and the current criteria for determining suspicion for this spectrum of illness. Patients with AE may present with or without focal neurological signs or symptoms but often have associated neuropsychiatric symptoms that might lead them to present to psychiatry first. Likewise, the spectrum of illness associated with AEs is highly variable, at times with minimal or no findings on the initial medical evaluation.
