17.1 Psychiatric Assessment and Psychotherapeutic Treatment of Adolescent Eating Disorders in Both Inpatient and Outpatient Settings

Psychological assessment of eating disorders is an essential part of a comprehensive evaluation that ultimately allows the team to provide appropriate treatment. Participants will learn about the following: 1) important interview questions used to establish the DSM-5 diagnosis; 2) working with multidisciplinary team members to craft the appropriate treatment approach; and 3) evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches to treating anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa.
