44.1 Intersectionality: Why Race Matters in LGBTQ+ Youth

The objective of this talk is to present data on the impact of combined racial and sexual minority statuses on mental health. Racial minority lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (or questioning) and others (LGBTQ+) youth face unique stressors both within and outside of the LGBTQ+ community that affect access to services, symptomatology, community supports, and treatment planning.
